CENTRE CHARLOTTE BLOUIN

                      Centre Charlotte Blouin

Centre Charlotte Blouin, managed by the Mutualite Françse anjou Mayenne, has, over a number of years, developed services for people with a hearing impairment, regardless of their age (children, young people and adults) and regardless of their needs (therapeutic, scholastic, education, vocational, social ....). In accordance with the law of the 11th February 2005 and in order to increase social inclusion by people with a disability, our organisation is actively developing a pathway to accessibility with and for them. This pathway aims to give to people with hearing impairments the possibility of having independent access to the different methodologies or services which they need. The pathway allows people with hearing impairments the possibility of self-development, under the overall banners of citizenship and equality. Centre Charlotte Blouin caters for more than 100 deaf or hearing impaired children. Similarly, the Centre supports adults with hearing impairments in the areas of employment and social training, and similarly elderly people who are deaf or hearing impaired so that they may retain their independence and ability to live in their own homes. At the Centre Charlotte Blouin are a number of professionals, expert in communication techniques (sign language, cued speech) and in supporting deaf people in their daily lives.
